Typing Test User Guide#

Redo#

• Hold Shift while pressing the Redo button to restart the typing test using the same word list.
• Press Esc to restart a typing test.

Language#

Type the language code in the text box, then press:

• Windows: Alt + L
• Mac: Cmd + Ctrl + L
• Linux: Super + Ctrl + L or Alt + L

Typing Mode#

Type the mode code in the text box, then press:

• Windows: Alt + M
• Mac: Cmd + Ctrl + M
• Linux: Super + Ctrl + M or Alt + M

Punctuation#

Type true or false, then press:

• Windows: Alt + P
• Mac: Cmd + Ctrl + P
• Linux: Super + Ctrl + P or Alt + P

This activates or deactivates punctuation in the typing test.

Theme Menu#

The Theme Menu allows you to choose from all available themes with a small preview.

• Press Esc or click Back to exit.
• You can also type the theme name in the text box, then press:
  • Windows: Alt + T
  • Mac: Cmd + Ctrl + T
  • Linux: Super + Ctrl + T or Alt + T

Calculations#

• WPM (Words Per Minute):

  • Total number of correct characters (including spaces) divided by five, then divided by the time elapsed since the first character was typed.

• ACC (Accuracy):

  • Total number of correct characters (including spaces) divided by all characters in the word list.
